Everything would have been peaceful and calm if it weren't for the painting "Killing Commendatore," found in the attic, if it weren't for the sound of the Buddhist bell at night, if it weren't for the strange crypt that emerged from under the stone mound in the middle of the thicket, if it weren't for the meeting with the esthete Menshiki, who, for an exorbitant sum of money, asked for a portrait to be painted, first his, and then, perhaps, his daughter's, if it weren't for the attempts to understand oneself. "So, it turns out that what set everything in motion around me was bringing this painting to light? And thereby opened the circle?" This painting turned the protagonist's life upside down and influenced everyone who saw it. It created another reality in our world. How is all this possible?
