Lost Kingdoms

When Spanish conquistadors arrived in the New World in search of El Dorado, instead of the mythical «golden city», they discovered giant stone structures, mysteriously built in the most inaccessible areas - enormous monuments whose construction required the highest level of technology and tools unknown to the indigenous peoples in this part of the world.

In «Lost Kingdoms», Zecharia Sitchin, using archaeological, mythological, and textual evidence, reveals the connections that existed between the ancient Near East and prehistoric American civilizations - connections that shed light on the Mexican pyramids and the «city of gods», on the deep knowledge of Mayan astronomy, the mysteries of Olmec calendars, and the emergence of the oldest city in America on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The author provides answers to the mysteries of ancient American civilizations, convincingly pointing to the active role of «gods» from another planet, for whom Earth became a second home.
