Philosophical Thought of China. Dao De Jing

This book presents the most complete translation of the main Daoist canon «Dao De Jing», taking into account the latest scientific achievements and texts from Mawangdui (early 2nd century BC).
The translation is supplemented by a detailed textual commentary that considers the main opinions of the Chinese commentary tradition, paraphrases of individual chapters of the canon, and excerpts from the most important Chinese interpretations. The classical commentaries of Wang Bi and He Shang Gong are presented almost in full. In addition, the book includes a complete Russian translation of the list of «Laozi» from Guodian (late 4th century BC) and the newly discovered ancient Daoist work «Eternally Preceding».
