Zarathustra. Nietzsche. Seminar notes held in 1934–1939 (set of 4 books)

Even in his youth, Carl Jung, living in Basel, was captivated by stories about Nietzsche's brilliant mind, eccentricity, and his immersion in perpetual psychosis. These volumes, a transcription of previously unpublished private seminars, reveal the fruits of his curiosity: Nietzsche's works, read during his student years, deeply moved him and had a lasting impact on his thinking. In these sessions, Jung, having reached maturity, informally speaks with members of his inner circle about the thinker whose works not only impressed him with the depth of understanding of human nature but also became a philosophical source for his own psychological and metapsychological ideas. Above all, he showed how the remarkable book “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” reveals Nietzsche's genius.
Since at that time seminar recordings were not intended for publication, Jung allows himself to joke, speak sharply about people and events that irritated and angered him, as well as openly comment on the political, economic, and other issues of his time. This seminar took place in Zurich in the 1930s.
