Russian Language. First Steps. Part 2

This manual is part of the educational complex "First Steps" and is intended for foreigners who have mastered the elementary level of proficiency in the Russian language (TEU/A1) and have already acquired primary information about the structure of the Russian two-part sentence, the prepositional-case system of the Russian language, and possess a vocabulary of 600-700 words.

The second part of the manual contains 9 lessons. The assimilation of the lexical and grammatical material included is designed for 200-240 hours of classroom instruction.

The goal of the second part is to develop students' communication skills related to solving communicative tasks primarily in the social and everyday sphere of communication.

Information is presented on the aspect-tense system of the Russian verb, the declension of adjectives, possessive and demonstrative pronouns, and the ordinal numerals in the singular. Students will master the basic meanings of the prepositional-case system, learn to hold conversations on topics related to describing a simple event (narration), and adequately (in accordance with etiquette norms) conduct dialogues in everyday communication situations. At the end of the manual, there are tests for each lesson.
