The move to London turned into a complete failure for Jules Capelthorne: a bitchy boss, a small salary, no hint of career growth. The dream of reaching heights in the publishing industry seemed far from realization. For this reason, when her aunt asks for help, Jules drops everything and returns to her hometown.

In the charming seaside town of Portnit, the Capelthorne family bookshop has been delighting residents for a hundred years. Appearances aside, it holds happy memories and even literary treasures. Jules quickly realizes that things are much worse than her aunt described: the land lease is expiring, and the shop is on the verge of bankruptcy and unlikely to survive until its centenary.

The situation is made worse by the fact that on the same street, a luxurious bookshop has been opened by Roman Montbo. Bold, charming, and devilishly handsome, he made a fortune in New York and came to prove to his father that he can stand up a business even in a backwater. This guy seems to be every girl's dream, but Jules is not fooled by an attractive cover. The Capelthorne and Montbo families have been feuding for years, and there can be no question of reconciliation.
