In terms of composition, this edition fully follows the publishing plan of Porphyry - the student and first publisher of Plotinus - who divided Plotinus's text into treatises, grouped the treatises into "nines" - enneads, and the enneads into volumes: the first volume consisted of the first three "nines", the second - the fourth and fifth, and the last - the sixth. This reprint of Plotinus will also be carried out according to Porphyry's scheme.
