Uncle Timur gave little Damira a toy elephant. This stuffed creature became the foundation of her world – Damira dedicated herself to the fight against poachers and ivory hunters. Damira, along with many of her ranger friends, perished in an unequal war against human greed, however, her consciousness was digitized and, after a hundred years, transferred into the brain of a resurrected female mammoth, so that the human woman would help the population survive, pass on her unique knowledge, and teach them to be mammoths.
