Memories

"Memories" by Anna Grigorievna occupies a unique place in the memoir literature about Dostoevsky. Her wife describes in detail the life and work of Fyodor Mikhailovich from a personal and family perspective, recounting the heavy trials the family underwent, the relationships with her husband, his struggle with illness, financial difficulties, social and political circumstances of that time, and the work on the famous works (from 1866 to 1881, when the main novels of the writer were created - from "Crime and Punishment" to "The Brothers Karamazov").
