Board Game - Memo. Cute Friends

The card game – memo "Cute Friends" – is a great option for having fun and spending time productively:
- 50 colorful cards (25 pairs) featuring funny animals and interesting items;
- 5 game variations: "Find a Pair", "What’s Missing?", "Remember", "Card... Lotto", "Chaos";
- a booklet with the game rules;
- an excellent memory workout.
 
Memo – an exciting game for the whole family! It helps a child learn to match and compare images on the cards, and remember their positions.
 
GAME 1. "FIND A PAIR"
The cards are placed face down. Each player takes turns flipping over two cards face up so that the other players can see what is depicted on them. If the images on the cards are the same, the player takes the cards for themselves and makes the next move. The player can continue the game as long as they find matching cards. If the images on the cards do not match, the turn passes to the next player, who flips the cards back face down.

GAME 2. "WHAT’S MISSING?"
Select a few non-repeating cards from the deck. Place the cards face up in front of the players. Ask them to name what is depicted on the cards. If the children struggle, name the images yourself and ask the children to repeat after you. Give the players time (20–30 seconds) to memorize what is depicted on the cards. Then ask the players to close their eyes and remove one card. When the players open their eyes, invite them to guess which card is missing. If the children quickly accomplish the task, make it more challenging: shuffle the remaining cards or increase their number.

GAME 3. "REMEMBER"
Select 4-6 cards with different images from the deck. Set the rest aside. First, take 2 cards with different, yet similar images, and set the others aside for the next round of the game. Show the child the image on 1 card for a few seconds, then remove it and show 2 images: the same one and one that is very similar. The child must show or name which image they saw at the beginning.

GAME 4. "CARD LOTTO"
Each player must select from 6 to 12 pairs of cards with the same images, totaling 12 or 24 cards. Players place one card from the pair face down in front of themselves. The remaining cards are shuffled and placed face down in the center of the table between all players.

Each player, in turn, draws a card from the shared stack. If it matches one of the cards in front of them, they place it in front of themselves, flipping both face up. If the player does not have such a card, they return it back to the shared pile and shuffle the deck.

The game ends when one of the players collects a pair for each of their cards.

GAME 5. "CHAOS"
In this game, you will need additional items.
Gather about 11 or 12 colorful simple items (a toy, a pen, a pencil, a bookmark, etc.). Arrange them in a semicircle on the table, placing cards face down in between them, shuffled.

Each player can flip over any two cards in one turn. If the cards match, the player takes both cards for themselves and makes the next move. If the images on the flipped cards are different, the player makes a "memory note" – they place those cards under or next to the items and try to remember that spot.

The game ends when all matching pairs of cards are found.
