Arya Nagarjuna on the Paths and Stages of Guhyasamaja

The most famous Tibetan treatise of the 17th century, «Arya Nagarjuna on the Paths and Stages of Guhyasamaja», along with a modern commentary, provides a detailed description of the paths and stages of the «Guhyasamaja Tantra» in accordance with the... tradition of Arya Nagarjuna. It is based on the unparalleled authentic statements of Manjushri, Lama Tsongkhapa, and his students. In many Buddhist tantras and the works of accomplished teachers, Guhyasamaja is revered as the «Supreme Lord, King of all Tantras».


Acharya Chandrakirti asserts in «The Illuminating Lamp»: «Guhyasamaja is the supreme method, the synthesis of the essence of all tantras». Kedrub Rinpoche writes in «Brief Notes»: «if an initiate understands Guhyasamaja, he understands all tantras». His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama also asserts that the «Guhyasamaja Tantra» anticipated the structure of other anuttara tantras and facilitates the understanding of tantras of this class.
