Notes of a Criminal Bard

Alexander Novikov - poet, singer, composer, author of more than three hundred songs, artistic director of the Ural State Variety Theater. In 1984, he recorded his famous album "Take Me, Cabbie". Immediately after that, he was convicted and sentenced to ten years in prison on a fabricated criminal charge.

Before the sentence was overturned by the Supreme Court of Russia and the charge was recognized as illegal, Alexander Novikov had to spend six years in detention. The events described in the book cover this period of the poet's life.
