The board game «Fun Letters» will make learning to read truly fun! In a playful manner, the child will learn vowels and consonants, will learn to form words and read. Thanks to its compact format, the game can be taken...
on the road; it will keep boredom at bay and help you spend time productively.
Preparation for the game:
For the game, you will need free space - a large table or a carpet on the floor. Shuffle the deck and deal eight cards to each player. Place the remaining deck face down.
Decide who goes first by drawing lots. Prepare a sheet and a pen for keeping the tournament table.
Game play:
Players take turns clockwise. The player who goes first lays out any word from their cards, which must be a noun in the nominative case, singular. If they cannot form a word, they draw a card from the deck, and the turn passes to the next player. After their turn, the player always draws enough cards from the deck to have at least eight cards in hand. Each time one of the players lays down a word, tally the points indicated in the corner of each card of that word and record the total in the tournament table. After the first word is laid down on the table, all subsequent words must intersect, like in a crossword puzzle (each new word must include at least one previously laid letter and at least one new letter).
End of the game:
The game ends when one of the players scores 50 points - they become the winner.
The set includes 90 cards.
