Educational Board Game - Little Train for Animals

The association game develops a child's thinking, perception, and attention, and introduces different groups of animals, their habitats, and ways of life. The little one will learn to reason independently, compare, analyze, and make conclusions. Fine motor skills of the hands are improved during the game.

Methodical recommendations:

— The game involves 1-5 people.
— With younger children, the game is conducted by an adult leader; older children can play independently after the rules are explained.
— Don’t forget to praise the child if they successfully complete a task. Help them if they encounter difficulties.

Game "Name the Animal"

— Goal of the game. Introduce the child to the names and characteristics of animals.
— Game process. Place cards with a cow, an elephant, and a bunny in front of the child. Ask them to find the card with the cow. Praise the little one if they succeed. Help them if difficulties arise.

First, tell everything you know about the cow, then about the elephant and the bunny. Place 6-8 cards in front of the child and ask them to find the cow, the elephant, and the bunny among them.

Game "Who Lives Where"

— Goal of the game: Introduce the child to the habitats of animals.
— Game process: Spread the cards face up. Place five cards with thematic pictures separately. Ask the child to find an image of any animal, for example, a fox. Where does it live? Which of the five general cards can it be joined to? If the selection is correct, all cards will connect in a chain.

Suggest the child collect all the chains from the cards. Ask additional questions: What unites the animals in each chain? Which animals live in the north, in the jungle, in the desert, near humans? What forest animals does the child know? Where do moose, turtles, and polar bears live? etc.

Game "Types of Animals"

— Goal of the game: Teach the child to group animals: domestic, wild, predatory, herbivorous, birds.
— Game process: The player's task is to find animals belonging to one group and lay them out in a chain. General cards are not used in the game. The child can check the correctness of their answer by the color of the background on the selected cards: green - herbivores, pink - predators, yellow - reptiles, blue - birds.
