The Phantom of Kant

What could be better than a vacation... with adventures! However, engineer Vasily Merkuiev, who dreamed of the cold sea and autumn forest, does not want any adventures!.. But they begin as soon as he arrives at a small hotel by... the seaside. The owner introduces him to the guests, among whom are a student, a bored young man, a girl clearly on the hunt, and... a young witch. Merkuiev, of course, does not believe in witches. And then, as if in mockery, the surrounding reality begins to play strange tricks on him: an ancient book about the life of philosopher Kant seems to be read by someone, the fire in the fireplace lights itself, and a murder occurs at an abandoned lighthouse. Vasily Merkuiev knows for sure that there are no witches, no ghosts, no spirits – and all the time he stumbles upon secret or obvious traces of their presence. Even love with the young witch – or not a witch?.. – seems to have been foretold to him by otherworldly forces... Sometimes it is really hard to believe. Even harder to realize and accept! But if you allow yourself to believe – life turns out to be full of wonders, and not fictional ones, but the most real!
