Impressionism

Impressionism – a unique and perhaps the brightest movement in painting that allowed artists to show people the "beauty of the moment". Impressionism was born in France in the late 1860s. Impressionists worked en plein air, and it was important for them to create the "effect of living shimmering colors". It will take several decades before the genius works of Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Édouard Manet, Edgar Degas, Alfred Sisley, Camille Pissarro, Frédéric Bazille, Berthe Morisot, and others become among the most expensive paintings in the world.
