The Legends (Легенды)

Gustavo Adolfo Becker (1836–1870) lived a short life but left a vivid mark in the history of Spanish literature.

He is considered one of the most read authors in the Spanish language. Becker's legends, inspired by the nature and history of Castile, transport the reader to an era of glorious kings, noble knights, and beautiful ladies.

From a warrior who fell in love with a beautiful statue to a hunter pursuing a white doe, each character yearns for what they cannot have and pays a price for it.

The texts of the legends are published in Spanish without adaptation or abridgment.
