The State of Dreams

Great achievements have always begun with utopian reflections, for progress is the realization of utopias. Utopias are questioned because of three features: futility (it is impossible), danger (the risks are high), and perversion (devolving into dystopia).

Such arguments are made against my concept of Unconditional Mandatory Income and Dream State: it is costly, as we will not be able to sustain it, risky, since people will stop working, and corrupt, because a minority will have to support the majority.

But this is not the case, for for the first time in history, we are so technological that we can afford smart money and the abolition of taxes. And for the first time in history, we are so wealthy that we can take the next step: to provide people with confidence in tomorrow.

Today is an exceptionally favorable time, for yesterday was too early – there was no 'carrot' in the form of Unconditional Mandatory Income, and tomorrow will be too late, as the people, rendered redundant after the robot revolution, will come for the 'carrot' themselves. And the people never have a plan. The people are terrifying in their improvisation. Those who do not believe should ask Danton.
