«The Yellow Wallpaper» — a short story by American writer Charlotte Perkins Gilman, first published in January 1892 in the magazine «New England». The novel is considered an important early work of American women's literature about the treatment of women's health in the 19th century. It is also highly regarded as a work in the horror genre.

The story is written in the form of a collection of diary entries, narrated from the first person.
