Psalter. Church-Slavonic and Russian Translations

The Psalter in Church-Slavonic language with a parallel translation into Russian, made by the outstanding Russian scholar P.A. Yungеров. The translation received the approval of the Holy Synod in 1876. It was reissued with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II. Developed by the holy equal-to-the-apostles Cyril and Methodius, the Church-Slavonic language is the language of Orthodox worship. P.A. Yungerov's translation brings the Greek Psalter closer to the Slavic tradition and makes it accessible to modern readers.
