Great Patriotic War, as a military correspondent, K.M. Simonov visited many fronts from the Black Sea to the Barents Sea. The book "One Hundred Days of War" was written based on the front-line notebooks that the writer kept in the first months of the war. Even during the war years, he literary processed them and dictated them to a stenographer, and a quarter of a century later, having dug through the archives, he carefully checked and commented on them.
