Kris has only memories of her nurse and the tales about ein — spirits living under the cover of silence and possessing the power of sound. Everything they say magically comes true, making them invincible.
But what good are tales when the world around crumbles? The state is growing poorer, the laws are becoming increasingly brutal, and people disappear without a trace. And yet sometimes fairy tales turn out to be real.
