Copy of Vera

After the accident, Vera Petrovna finds herself trapped between life and death. Her son Pavlik — a copyist artist with a mystical gift — desperately tries to bring his mother back, gathering fragments of her memory from old photographs and paintings. But the woman who awakens from the coma is not the Vera he knew. She regresses to childhood, speaks in foreign words, and fears mirrors. And the deeper Pavlik delves into the past, the more terrifying the questions become: who is his mother really? Where is the line between the original and the forgery — in art, in memory, in the human soul?

Meanwhile, little Polenka frightens her grandfather, the famous painting expert Arkhip Mustakasa, by calling him a forgotten nickname from his youth. The girl paints portraits of people she has never seen. She is haunted by someone else's memories. And one day she draws a woman that a stranger named Pavlik is desperately searching for all over Moscow...
