Athanasius Afanasyevich Fet (born Shenshin; 1820–1892) is one of the most subtle and bright lyricists in Russian poetry, a "singer of nature and love"; a vivid representative of the "pure art" school, aimed at the eternal "kingdom of beauty," far... from the burdens of everyday life.
