The proposed tutorial opens the project "Encyclopedia of Creative Imagination Development" and is the first in a series of materials describing the methodology of Creative Imagination Development (CID) in the language of invention methodology and problem-solving within the author's approach and the practice of the Eurasian School of Scientific and Technical Creativity.
Imagination is a key element of any human activity, a necessary element in solving any tasks — in everyday life, science, technology, business, and pedagogy. It is imagination that allows human thought to leap from the fruits of analysis, using a rational approach, to the unknown, to the new, to that which drives our civilization.
Like any human ability, imagination needs to be trained and developed. It is clear that different possibilities are inherent in each person, and some become masters of imagination even in childhood, while others achieve this through long labor. We offer methods of training, the necessary tools, simulators, and exercises. The tutorial presents a range of modifications of exercises based on one initial technique, allowing for the development of imagination and related skills.
The book may be useful for educators, engineers, managers, specialists in innovation and project management, as well as for anyone interested in the topics of problem-solving, child development, and self-improvement.
