Dinka loves her little town Kuritsyn and runs a video blog about its secrets. She tells city legends on camera — about the crowing roosters that cut off Wi-Fi across the city, why all the houses are painted different colors,... and who sings in the drains during the rain. One morning, Dinka and her friend Lerka find an old oval coin...A hundred years before Dinka, in the vicinity of Razenburg, which would later become Kuritsyn, a little boy named Kolya lives in the estate of the Polyansky family. He dreams of travels and adventures, but for now, his entire world consists of his sick mother, a cherished herbarium, and ghost friends, the guardians of these places. One of the ghosts gave him a strangely shaped coin, and this talisman is supposed to protect Kolya from all troubles. Observant and kind, the boy believes in the magic around him, but sometimes that faith is not enough.The story interweaves two time periods, the tales of Kolya and Dinka. The heroine of our time and the future great traveler must each, from their own side, uncover the mystery of the oval coin and bring hope to themselves and to the town on the edge of the steppe.
