Genius and Madness

Cesare Lombroso is a famous Italian psychiatrist and the founder of the anthropological approach in criminology and criminal law, whose main idea was that of the born criminal. He was the first to suggest that crime is a consequence of the human nature of certain individuals, and he also tried to identify the signs of a person prone to criminal behavior. "Genius and Madness" is Lombroso's main and most famous work. In his opinion, crimes are committed by people with a set of specific physical data and psychological characteristics. In his work, Cesare Lombroso analyzes the biographies of famous personalities, attempting to identify common traits and features of their character, as well as examining the influence of heredity, the environment, and other factors on the formation of genius and mental disorders.
