During a festival in the town square, a woman is murdered — and there are no witnesses. A street photographer accidentally took a shot capturing black hands clasped around the victim's neck, and the court concludes that the murderer is a black man. A young woman, just starting her career in law, realizes that the suspect had no connection to the deceased and is accused solely because of his skin color. She has a personal interest in this case, as the suspect is incredibly handsome and, it seems, the feeling is mutual… The investigation quickly wraps up, love begins. But not so fast: witnesses and evidence appear, revealing new details about the victim's life, guilty only of marrying the wrong man…
