Acquisition and Dissolution of Speech

Tatyana Grigorevna VIZEL is a Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor. The main area of professional interests is neuropsychology. She has a fifty-year experience in research and teaching, being an active participant in the creation of the Center for Speech Pathology and Neurorehabilitation (CSPRiN). She has over 200 scientific publications. She is an active popularizer of science in the field of neuropsychology and defectology both in our country and abroad, authoring numerous popular scientific articles and several books. The book details the characteristics of speech development in children and loss of speech in adults. This is a fundamental theoretical work in the fields of neuropsychology, neurolinguistics, aphasiology, and speech therapy, based on the works of L.S. Vygotsky, A.R. Luria, E.P. Koka. Special attention is given to issues of differential differences in clinical pictures of speech disorders, as well as the underlying causes behind them. In the book, the author identifies fundamentally important, previously unmentioned phenomena of speech pathology; algorithms for the acquisition and dissolution of speech skills are described in an innovative way, forms of alalia and aphasia are clarified, speech skills that are part of the main systems of language are distinguished, and the characteristics of their dissolution are described.
