Lun yu = Conversations and Sayings

"Conversations and Sayings" — one of the most important philosophical treatises of Confucianism, included in the "Four Books" (四书) — the canonical texts of Chinese philosophy. This work compiles the sayings of Confucius and excerpts from his conversations with disciples about the structure of the world, the basis of which is the concept of "noble man" (君子) and his role in creating a harmonious society. The teachings of Confucius, as presented in "Lun yu", have become a fundamental element of traditional Chinese culture and have significantly influenced the development of modern Chinese society.
