To love God much more than anyone else is a high goal. But first, one must hear about the true love that transcends all our worldly understandings of it. Our saints have recorded their revelations, and we need to get acquainted with their books and, having learned about the standard of love, become infected with the desire to attain the same spiritual love as the eternal companions of Krishna in Goloka Vrindavana.

In order to develop the desire, it is necessary to listen and read about this amazing love again and again, even if much of what is described by the saints may not be clear at first. Srila Jiva Goswami wrote that his heart softened and reached out to the lotus feet of Krishna only after he began to read about the love that binds Krishna and His bhaktas.

We express special respect to Srila Rupa Goswami, the most outstanding and skillful poet, whose books for us are like a shining sun or a lighthouse guiding the way to love.
