In compiling the textbook, we used some materials from the Mayapur Institute. We had to compile the materials for the 11th and 12th songs entirely by ourselves. Materials for preparing lectures and presentations can be found in the textbook "Bhakti-Vaibhava."Shri...
Prabhupada's commentaries end at the thirteenth chapter of the 10th song of the "Bhagavatam." We consulted several times with senior Vaishnavas on how to relate to and study the commentaries of Shri Prabhupada's disciples. The main conclusion we came to is that it is a significant advantage to study the translations of "Shrimad-Bhagavatam" that Shri Prabhupada left to be completed by his disciples. This allows us to see how Shri Prabhupada manifests in his disciples and how strictly they adhere to his teachings and the teachings of previous acharyas, maintaining the sacred succession of the disciplic chain. The very spirit of the "Bhakti-Vedanta" course differs from previous levels. There is more scientific activity here than teaching. The "Bhakti-Vedanta" course is that platform where education should transition into science. In this regard, we have tried to minimize the number of tests, verses, analogies, and practicals, and have removed essays. For example, there are only 93 questions for the entire 11th song. The course organizers may conduct one general exam for the entire song. We hope that some students will be inspired to engage in scientific study of Shri Prabhupada's books and find themselves in this activity. Therefore, the main assessment exam of the course will be a dissertation on "Shrimad-Bhagavatam." Many graduates will be able to continue their service and scientific activities at the Bhakti Vedanta Institute.
