This self-study guide is intended for those who are independently learning the Romanian language. It allows you to develop speaking skills necessary for communication and reading simple literature, as well as master the basics of grammar: the self-study lessons introduce both the grammatical features of the language and commonly used conversational vocabulary. Once you master it, you can easily handle any situation in direct communication with the residents of Romania. For quick memorization of common speech constructions, carefully read the selections with lexical material, which is accompanied by transliteration (the thematic list is provided in the contents). In each lesson of the self-study guide, you will find descriptions of lexical and grammatical categories of all parts of speech, exercises for memorizing the studied material, and texts using active speech structures.
