All the characters in the book are animals; however, they can love and hate, lie and tell the truth to one’s face, trust and despair, betray and save just as well as we, the human-like readers. Figuring out who is a friend and who is an enemy, who is an innocent fluffy victim and who is a fatal predatory female, who is a hostage and who is the captor can only be done at the end, for according to the rules of the genre, the criminal remains unknown until the very finale. But it is clear even to a hedgehog that all the stories are written with humor and irony, and the plots will captivate not just children but also their parents.
