Tales of the Islands

This book contains folk tales and legends set on islands. Among them are picturesque coral reefs; islands lost in the heart of the ocean, magical floating islands; islands inhabited by amazing fairy-tale creatures, and simply small unremarkable islets. Before making it into this book, the tales were passed down from generation to generation for many decades by various peoples — Indians and Japanese, Filipinos and Scots, French and Norwegians. And each tale carries a piece of the century-old wisdom of the people who created it.
