The book reveals the ancient traditions of the Indian calendar. The calendar is taken from India because it is based on nakshatras. By studying the traditions of festivals, we understand nakshatras. The reverse is also true: One who knows the nature of a nakshatra understands which Vedic festival and deity it is related to.
