Graphic dictations are excellent preparation for school. They train the child's hand, develop the skill of holding a pencil, preparing the future schooler for writing.
Classes in graphic dictations develop children's spatial representations, teaching them to navigate the pages of a... notebook. The school successes of a child largely depend on their ability to listen attentively and patiently complete tasks, that is, on their perseverance. Working on graphic dictations develops children's ability to concentrate, to memorize and reproduce a series of sequential actions, and to control their own graphic activity. 
The workbook is aimed at children aged 4-6 years. It is designed for joint work between parents and children, and can also be used for activities by educators, governesses, and elementary school teachers.
