The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino

Buratino is one of the most beloved and popular characters in children's literature. Alexei Tolstoy wrote this fairy tale based on a story told by Carlo Collodi, about a wooden puppet - Pinocchio - and named the hero Buratino. One day, the old organ grinder Carlo made a talking puppet from a magic log. This wooden boy - Buratino - turned out to be quite a little rascal. Because of his mischief, Buratino finds himself in dangerous situations: he escapes from bandits, runs away from the Country of Fools, and, risking himself, saves his friends from the owner of the puppet theater, Karabas Barabas. Buratino is helped by kind friends, and the wise turtle Tortilla shares with him the amazing secret of the golden key, which can open a magic door. What door will Buratino be able to open?..
