tales into verse; as a folk storyteller, he altered the plot, used elements from other genres such as songs, laments, spells, and even details from foreign folklore. In his "Tales," Pushkin experimented with form, but always aimed for one goal - to showcase the beauty of the Russian language and, through it, the Russian soul.
