learn to think through their moves as well as their opponents' moves, relying on logic and observing their rivals.
This is not a game of “chance,” it is a strategic game: the one whose strategy is better at a given moment wins. It is important to understand which strategy each opponent is adhering to. If players are acting together as one team, then in this case, to win, they must negotiate with each other and seek a compromise.
“Castle of Erida” is suitable for a homogeneous age group of players as well as for a mixed-age audience. Both children and adults can play it. A game leader is not needed.
In four castles at the opposite ends of the field, representatives of four different elements reside: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. Each player or team (if there are more than four players) controls one element and eight pieces – two rulers and six warriors.
At the beginning of the game, one warrior from each element is languishing in the central castle. It is necessary to free your prisoners and then compete with other opponents, capturing their pieces. If both ruler pieces are captured, that element is out of the competition. The representatives of the element with at least one ruler remaining free win.
Game duration: from 45 to 90 minutes Number of players: from 3 to 4
