Edred and Elfrida quite unexpectedly become the heirs of an ancient but dilapidated castle. In the attic they find a chest with... old dresses and, changing clothes, move one hundred, two hundred, three hundred years ago, where each time they are mistaken for the children of the owners of the castle. They want to find the treasure that legend tells about, but along the way they become participants in the events of ancient eras, finding themselves in funny and sometimes very difficult situations.

The book is incredibly funny, great for children of primary and secondary school age.

It is equally good for independent and family reading.
