Since ancient times, the Russian people have composed bylines – wonderfully poetic tales of the military feats of heroes. Ilya Muromets, Dobrynya Nikitich, Alyosha Popovich, Svyatogor… These and many other heroes of the Russian land were famous not only for their mighty strength and bravery but also for their intellect and resourcefulness. Brave warriors, they honestly served in the military, protecting their homeland from enemies, and always stood up for truth and justice.
