Ashik-Kerib. Turkish Tale

“Ashik-Kerib” is a famous fairy tale in Eastern countries, recorded and adapted for domestic readers by the Russian writer Mikhail Lermontov during his next exile to the Caucasus in 1837. It is an amazing story of true love between a poor musician and a charming girl, the daughter of a wealthy merchant, who maintained their feelings despite the obstacles.
