For the first time under one cover - the most complete collection of Russian fairy tales with legendary illustrations by Ivan Bilibin (1876-1942).
Here you will find seven well-known fairy tales illustrated by Bilibin in 1899-1902 - these are the ones... reproduced in most modern editions.
However, in addition to them, our book includes two stories from the collection "Living Word" (1907) for secondary schools, also illustrated by Ivan Bilibin, as well as six lesser-known works to the modern reader from the unique Parisian collection "Tales from the Hut" (1931). The book concludes with Bilibin's last work, completed in Soviet Russia - "The Little Fox Sister".
Our edition includes not only illustrations but also classic decorative elements of design, due to which Bilibin's works became exemplary in the genre of fairy tale illustration.
