The fantastic novella by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann, which has become a kind of "business card" of the great romantic, is adapted in this edition using Ilya Frank's method: it is accompanied by a literal translation into Russian and necessary lexical-grammatical commentary (without simplifying the text of the original).
