Indifference of teachers and parents, unpunished cruelty from other children, permissiveness of some and helplessness of others – this is what the boy Inki, the main character of the story "Daggy-Titz" by the wonderful children's writer Vladislav Krapivin, faces.
Inki lives...
in a remote Russian province, his life is full of injustice and troubles. He has no friends, his mother rarely appears at home, and Inki has never seen his father. The only solace for the boy becomes an ordinary fly that loves to swing on the pendulum of an old clock… But in Inki's heart, hardened by grief and loneliness, kindness lives – he does not lose hope, extends a helping hand to those in need. And unexpectedly, joyful changes come into his life: the boy meets adults willing to sacrifice much for children, finds true friendship that can withstand any trials and separations, and a common cause to which he gladly dedicates his life.
