This edition is a translation into Russian of a comprehensive book on Kabbalah by American researcher of ancient mystical texts Isaac Meyer, published in Philadelphia in 1888. The author introduces us to the life and work of the philosopher Solomon ben Judah ibn Gabirol, or Avicenna (ca. 1021–1058/1070), provides evidence of the antiquity of the book Zohar and other Kabbalistic books, and thoroughly examines the hidden doctrines of Kabbalah, revealing the veil of mystery over the knowledge that is the essence of esoteric Judaism. By reading this book, you will not only become acquainted with extremely important information about Kabbalah, but you will also understand the meaning of those phrases from the Old and New Testaments that may not have been fully understood on the first reading.
