In this cheerful, kind book by Yan Grabovsky, stories about the sincere trust of animals in good people are collected. We only think that we tame animals. In fact, it sometimes happens the other way around. Animals watch people closely... and choose their friends themselves. For example, a fierce rooster picks a girl as his friend. A wolf faithfully serves as a guard in a house where he is loved. A whole flock of sparrows "adopts" a person because, in their view, he is helpless and needs care. That's how Tame People come into the world... These wonderful stories were translated by Boris Zahoder, a famous writer, poet, and translator of many works of world children's classics. The illustrations for the book were created by the remarkable contemporary artist Vladimir Stakheyev.
