"3000 Villains" – a card tabletop game where players take on the roles of gang leaders eager to capture the technologies of the future. You will have to hurry – in a couple of days, the federals will show up...
and take everything you haven't reached – so gather your best people! Hire villains, give them tasks, and bluff – of course, what bandit doesn’t like to take a risk? However, keep in mind: if opponents catch you cheating, the consequences can be serious…
One of the main features of "3000 Villains" is its exceptional replayability! Each henchman participating in the game will be formed randomly using two cards that you place in one sleeve. In total, there are three thousand possible villains, so the game's title is not just a literary exaggeration!
How to play?
Each player controls the leader of a gang attempting to seize the Traveler's technologies. Throughout the game, you will make plans, try to outsmart other leaders, steal safes, and, of course, hire various villains to create a diverse team. The gaming round happens as follows:
First, players make plans. For this, each player has poker cards that will activate abilities, deceive opponents – or both! On the player's board, there are slots for the cards – depending on which slot a card is placed in, the player will gain certain advantages. The nuance is that the cards are played face down – and the value of the card you intend to play does not have to match what is shown on the board. However, if other players catch your bluff, you will lose points, and the opponents will gain them.
Once all cards are laid out, it's time to use the abilities. Depending on the cell you placed the card in, you will receive specific bonuses. Some bonuses are reflected on the board, but their main source is the villains! The more henchmen you recruit into your gang, the more and more often you will receive various advantages. Money, reputation, information: villains can provide you with all this. The main thing is to build a team whose members complement each other.
Next, a player must either hire a villain or visit the sheriff's office. In the first case, you must choose one of the villains on the saloon board and, paying the corresponding cost (if there is one), transfer them to your board. Now they are part of your gang! Alternatively, you can visit the sheriff's office: you can, for example, get some money there.
Thus, three gaming days will pass: you will steal safes that hold the precious technologies of the Traveler, earn money, bluff, expose other players, and, of course, recruit new villains into your gang!
Who won?
At the end of the third day, the federals will arrive and confiscate everything you have not managed to take for yourself. Thus, it will only remain to count the victory points. There are several sources for them, but the main ones are the safes you will steal throughout the game.
The one with the highest number of victory points wins! Now this gang will determine the fate of not just the city, but the whole West!
Game Features
To further enhance the asymmetric aspect of "3000 Villains", you can introduce strategy cards into the game. At the beginning of the game, each player will receive two cards to choose from that reflect the characteristics of their chosen gang and will discard one. This will grant additional effects that can be used throughout the game.
Additionally, "3000 Villains" contains extra game modes: "Even More Villains" where your gangs will expand, and "Wild Wild Saloon," which makes the game even more unpredictable.
