The House of Rascals

Lydia Charskaya is the most popular children's writer of the early 20th century. Perhaps no one before her in Russian literature spoke so insightfully and trustingly to teenagers. "The House of Rascals" is an engaging story about an orphan named Nika, who ends up in a boarding school where naughty children from wealthy families were reformed.
